Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using InstaSnap (“the Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

2. What the Service does

The Service retrieves the publicly visible profile picture (avatar) of an Instagram account that you name, and lets you save that file to your device. It is a convenience utility only.

• One free download per visitor. Additional downloads require signing in with Google.
• No account data is stored on our side; the free-download counter lives in your browser.
• The Service is provided “as is”, with no uptime or accuracy guarantee.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Republish, resell or commercially exploit another person’s profile picture without their permission.
• Use the Service to impersonate, harass, stalk or defame anyone.
• Create or imply an association between your product and any social platform, brand or user.
• Attempt to circumvent the free-download limit, the sign-in gate or the ad-block notice.
• Send automated, bulk or high-rate requests, scrape the Service, or overload the request relays.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.

4. Fair use and rate limits

Instagram rate-limits aggressive clients. To keep the Service usable for everyone, requests are throttled per browser. Sustained automated use may be temporarily blocked without notice.

5. Ownership of downloaded content

The profile pictures we return belong to their respective owners. Downloading a publicly visible image does not grant you any licence to it. Personal backup, offline reference and design mockups are generally fine; commercial republishing usually is not.

6. Advertising

The Service is funded by advertising. We display banner units and occasional full-screen ads. If an ad blocker prevents them from loading, the download function is paused — see the cookies & ads page. We never ask you to click an ad, and we never place affiliate links inside downloaded files.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Availability depends on third parties (Instagram, request relays, ad networks) that we do not control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profiles or revenue arising from your use of the Service.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The date at the top of the page always reflects the latest revision.

11. Relationship with Instagram

InstaSnap is an independent utility. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any of their subsidiaries. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
